THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT INFORMATION.

Read this shit; it’s how to use what is arguably the most misunderstood (and sadly, probably the most underused) punctuation mark today.

The semicolon is my favorite punctuation mark; I use it every chance I get.

I find it romantic. Here, you take two independent entities (sentences) and you opt to connect them based only on the fact that they share meaning or work better together than apart. You could use a period and it would be completely grammatically correct, but you keep them together because meaning is derived from them a little easier when they are together, linked, connected.

Ain’t that love anyway? Being independent, but choosing to stay with someone else because you both make more sense that way?

For some reason, I was never taught this…ever. This totally cleared everything up
